Here's my work in progress for this month's prompt. The main things I need to finish are the faces on the chipmunks and more of their belongings on the shelves, but I'm thinking about how I can make the story more interesting. One thought was adding a few insects perched on the mushroom and shelves, half in shadow but with illuminated faces, also looking down at the books. The idea is that everyone wants to gather around the light for cozy book time. Is that too boring?
Glow WIP: enough story?

@patricialamas I don’t think so, I think it’s fine how it is. Personally I don’t believe that every illustration needs an elaborate story behind it. It looks like it’s going to turn out beautifully.

@patricialamas first off, i think this is a beautiful, portfolio-worthy piece. The story is clear and easy to understand. However, and i’m very sorry for being blunt, but i don’t think it’s particularly a standout. It may be too safe in my opinion. Having said that, I still think this is a high quality piece that you should be proud of. Amazing job!
