AHOY! Akins April WIP> critiques welcomed!

I am trying to stretch my creative environments and think outside the box for April’s challenge. I am feeling very N.C. Wyeth’s Robinson Crusoe on this one.
Totally not finished but the boat itself and the trunk of one palm is done so you can see the style I am using.
Any suggestions of what to add? I feel like the inside needs some more fun details. I am thinking of a spyglass, a ship’s wheel, a parrot, and maybe a treasure map.
Also colored bottles hanging from the trees.
Any glaring things you see so far?

@chrisaakins very fun silhouette! I think it looks good, my only suggestion would be that the lantern would probably be more practical if it were closer to the ladder, but we are illustrators we can bend rules if we so wish
as for deets maybe some dried starfish, crab, oars? Can’t wait to see how it comes along -
Also I think that boat needs a name

The prompt comes with a white background requirement.. so I would nix the blue background. Especially since you’re not in love with it. It’s looking really awesome so far. -
