Feedback for Tiger
-
Hey,
i would love some feedback for my Tiger Illustration, it already crossed my mind after talking to a friend that the storytelling isn't to well.
What would you have for suggestions? How can i improve the storytelling.
I thought, the picture is not working after all without the text thoug, so i would really like to change it and would love some input. -
@von_nimmermehr personally I liked this a lot and I thought the story was cute and humorous. Maybe if he had been in a big cardboard box something cats are a little more known for. I really like the way you rendered it also, it has a very newspaper comic feel to me. Hope that helps?

@von_nimmermehr Hi. I agree with @Asyas_illos about your style. I agree with you about your storytelling concern if you took out the text. I might think about how to represent the passage of time visually. One thought perhaps is representing how the elephant has been spending it (eating and how the garbage has been mounting up because lets face it these animals eat a lot). Anyways, yeah I'd look at how you represent the prolonged waiting.
Hopefully this might spark an idea for you,

Hey @von_Nimmermehr , I really like the concept of the tiger who misses his cue, there's a lot of potential humor there, I think that maybe you just chose the wrong moment of action to illustrate.
The elephant saying he waited hours is funny, but to me, the height of the action of that scenario would be when the tent is filled with people, the ringmaster is announcing his act, the tiger tamer is frantically waving his arms trying to get his tiger to listen, and the tiger is just having a good time with his ball.
Also, if you choose the moment that the tiger misses the cue, there is a lot of potential to tell the story (through introducing some different characters) without needing the word bubbles. If the crowd looks upset and the ringmaster and tiger tamer look distresses, they will create tension and interest without the need for word bubbles.

@Asyas_illos thank you so much for your kind words
I donβt know if a cardboard box making too much sense it this setting, but i appreciate you taking your time@Heather-Boyd @StudioLooong Thanks for your input, i already got an idea how to change my take on it and make it a little bit clearer and make it work without the text. Thanks so much i think i will go with a ringmaster and i hope it will work
