Tiger in the Library

Hey so a few questions:
Where is your eye drawn to first?
What do you think is going on?
Does this have a finished feel or do I need to go the extra 20%?
Thanks for any other feedback you might have, I spent a lot of the day being very frustrated and now I feel like it is finally coming together, but not very sure, I know I need to spend a little time away and come back with fresh eyes.

Where is your eye drawn to first?
The Rabbit. I don't know what, but I see the Rabbit first. Maybe because it's in the middle. Then I notice the Rabbit's Left arm, and it looks broken. (Sorry).What do you think is going on?
Looks like the parent or teacher was going to introduce the new girl when she caught the others messing around in the library.Does this have a finished feel or do I need to go the extra 20%?
Looks to be clean and have a nice calm feeling to it.
The Bookshelves and the books on the shelves look to be very faded and far away.Wannabe Caricature Artist and Illustrator.

I'm drawn to the young tiger on the ox's (?) shoulders. The very reddish orange is eye catching, and 4 of the characters are looking his way.
I see a mom and well behaved younger sister standing to one side, looking slightly appalled at what's going on. The mouse's gaze helps me see this as important.
My first thought was that perhaps they're organizing the library. But it doesn't seem like a task for kids and the adult in the picture isn't impressed. At second glance, the books are looking like a fort with a friend crawling through a doorway.I might emphasize an embarrassed look on the mouse's face, seeing the parent and feeling caught out at doing something naughty?
I think if you took most of the red and orange out of the books you'd add more contrast, and you could put a little more saturation back in the shelf books where there is still action going on.
I love your room construction! The shelves and table and chairs and rug all feel great. Backgrounds are my Achilles heel.

First thing I see is the Tiger Teacher, then my eye follows around the room as shown in the arrows.
Looks to me like the kiddos are making a book castle. Pretty cool until the teacher comes in!
The piece feels finished to me; however, you might consider putting some contrast behind the bunny since she gets lost in the light values when you squint and look at small thumbnail.

@jeremy-ross First thing i see is the mouse, probably because it makes eye contact with me. They're getting caught building a book fort. Looks finished to me but I'm pretty new at this

The children are playing with the books in a library, taking them off the shelves to make a book fort. The mum who just arrived with her daughter doesn't seem to approve.

Despite the topic, this feels like a very gentle and peaceful scene. I love that atmosphere however there are some things I suggest you think more about.
Currently, it does feel a little too faded and the edges of things are a little soft making it a little hard to read. I also feel the little tiger girl is a bit expressionless compared to the rest. (I can't tell what she thinks unlike her mum). Finally, while I like the tiger on the goat's shoulders the perspective feels a little off to me and the pose a bit pointless because they could reach the top of that pile without sitting on each other's shoulders. Maybe bring the goat's feet closer to the pile and make the pile higher?As I said I really like this picture and I look forward to see where you go with it.

I'm drawn first to the rabbit and then my eye goes around the scene and ends up at the adult figure.
Looks to me like the children have taken all the books off the library shelves and are having a lot of fun building a fort whilst the librarian's been off doing something else. Now the libarian has turned up with another child (possibly to show them to a book?) and is not amused by the chaos before her.
I think you're pretty much there. I was a bit confused by the postition of the tiger - I didn't see his legs at first and I think it's because the pile of books he's stacking is behind the goat he's balancing on. Maybe move the goat back a bit so that he's level with the books? Also, I love your colours but maybe if the books were a bit less saturated it would make the kids stand out a bit more?
Just some thoughts. I think it's really good - the room and the characters are lovely.

@jeremy-ross thank you! So how cool how you did the grayscale and the arrows to show where your eye goes. Yes it is a castle of books! I was trying to keep the bunny to not stand out since I have had feedback from family that was where their eye was drawn to first and I want it to be the tiger.

@ruth thank you so much, you are right I need to move the ox back, thank you for catching that. I do like the books a little less saturated, thank you, trying to finish this up before the deadline!
