      Hello, guys!

I'm participating to this Instagram Christmas challenge #xmasfunchallenge and my idea is to create little stories with the same characters, that could be suitable for children's book illustration. I'm trying to have consistent characters and some storytelling. It's the first time I include the same characters in multiple illustrations.

What do you think about these 2 first pieces in terms of consistency, character design, storytelling, but also composition and colors/values?

Do you think these could be included in my portfolio as one page illustration and spot illustration?

      Prompt - letter to Santa

      Prompt - gingerbread

PS: If you are looking for some Christmas illustration ideas, you can still join this challenge too. 🙂

Hi @simonaburlacu, I think your characters look consistent and the colors are perfect for the season!

I’m definitely not up for another daily drawing challenge after Inktober; however, I will consider participating in a few since I don’t have any holiday portfolio pieces.

        Good luck!

The story is clear in both. You might want to ad footprints in the snow on the first.

@kim-hunter Oh, you're so right! This detail would make it so much more believable! Thank you so much, Kim!
