Hey guys, how's it going!

I just created a new Facebook group to make artist friends, hang out, share our art and help each other out! It's called the Freelance Illustrators Café

Once we get a few people in there, I'm also looking forward to hosting occasional lives and free mini-classes to teach about various art business topics such as agents, mindset, contracts, portfolios, revenue streams, etc.

@NessIllustration This is so cool. I was thinking about something similar for 2021. Looks like I do not have to do this, I can join your group instead :-). Excited!

One thing is the time difference (I have experienced this with a few other live events). I live in Norway, usually, I miss out on things that happen in the evenings on the North American side of the world :-).

@xin-li Uhmm that's certainly something to consider Since I can make my own work schedule, I'll try to find a time that works best for everyone! If all else fails, now with the units system in groups we can save lives and keep them organized in units for members to watch at leisure

Hi Ness, great idea, did you thought about doing more DISCORD group rather than FB group? It is always difficult to find something in FB Group and in Discord there is also a Voice chat or screen sharing, and posting in channels and sharing much easier and you can do coworking and be in voice and talk to each other, always nice...I would join discord, but not FB anymore, I almost don't go there, only for the latest news.
But altogether thank you for your engagement and your hard work in connecting us, and as @xin-li said, I am European time so also the time difference should be considered. I am meating my illustrator friend mostly at 5pm my time, than the US friend have morning-midday at that time.

@MichaelaH That sounds very interesting! I've never used Discord so it's definitely way out of my knowledge of comfort zone, but the functions you're talking about do seem very useful
