      Hey guys

I just want to point out this video about copyright: https://youtu.be/UqU7d0dvc6E

It is quite basic but answers a few questions about fan art, litigation, copyright abroad, etc.

Everything was once discussed in this forum under several threads. Unlike other sources on the internet, this video features a lawer specialised in art in the USA

@Julia Good recommendation. Just started watching. I like this guy! He corrected himself from initially saying "when you SELL an image to a client" to "when you LICENSE an image to a client"

Any copyright video that makes that distinction in the first 10 min gets and upvote from me!

@Julia this was a good watch. Thanks for posting.

@davidhohn I was wondering, when I register for copyright in the US I use a lawyer as it's normally when an infringement has taken place. But as a foreigner, can I register art work in the US as an individual?

The way we do it is sign over the copyright to the lawyer while the case is on, then when the case is over they sign the copyright back to us.
