I hope posting my three roughs at this very late stage of the game makes all those much more organised than I am feel a lot better about wherever you're at in the process (no doubt much further along than myself)! Even if I don't make the deadline I'm planning on taking this to finished art so I can pop it in my portfolio, so any feedback would still be greatly appreciated. I have so much respect for anyone who actually manages to do 50 thumbnails! I only managed 22 and was completely spent!

I am of course very interested to hear which one people think I should take to finished art but i must admit I am quite desperate to draw that higgledy piggledy camera! The concept is that Ellie has made it herself out of cardboard and books about fairies. So it's not a real camera but of course it is to her šŸ™‚ And all those little squares are polaroid photos of past failed ink fairy photography attempts.

That camera is great! I’d be excited too! Are you going to have tape on it to show its made by Ellie? The lightbulb is a fun touch šŸ™‚

I really like where this is going and you have 3 nice pieces to choose from. At first I thought they were all part of a comic as they seem to follow on from each other, but if you are only looking at developing one I think the last one has the most potential because of the camera.

However, I do think there is a better concept hiding somewhere within a mix of these. I like your concept of Ellie having made a camera out of books and cardboard and the breakdown of her character (in image 2) and perhaps if you were to show us her determined in the process of building the camera surrounded by her failed photos then you would have something really special.

@Gary-Wilkinson I love that idea, Gary! I'm definitely going to do that šŸ™‚

Sadly I think I'm almost definitely not going to get this done in time for the comp. On the bright side it means I don't have to do it in ink šŸ™‚

I just realised I started a new thread to post my updated rough sketch based on Gary and Coley's feedback when I should've posted it here! Apparently I don't know how to forum.

I would love any feedback you might have on this updated rough!
