I'm searching for photo references or free software to help me with visualizing perspective. Google is hit or miss for me with image searches. Is there a software program where you can use to get the bones of the perspective first? Thanks!
@Laurel-Aylesworth i use pinterest and search for “interior design” for interiors often times. I remember i forget which comic artist.. had interior design magazines laying around he would copy interiors from. For other environments its tough. I typically creat a pinterest board or use jake parkers.
@Laurel-Aylesworth I've used SketchUp before to create just some blocks for buildings, etc and then you can spin it around and change the view point and switch between one, two or three point perspective to see how everything changes. I haven't used SketchUp in a long time but I think there's still a free version online.
@Laurel-Aylesworth have you looked on getty images website or stocksy, unsplash or shutterstock? There you can just type in perspective and get a bunch of pics to look at.
@Laurel-Aylesworth www.blender.org is free 3D modeling software. There are youtube vids on setting up perspective.
I second Blender. It's something I've started working with and really meaning to master the basics. I've seen way too many great examples of setting up scenes in minutes with exactly the right perspective and lighting in pure value that can just be painted right over. It also makes you way more marketable.
It's a super steep learning curve, but I think it's well worth it.
Edit: I just remember that Trent Kaniuga had a couple of videos that gave a really high level look at how those basics can come into play. He's specifically in the video game industry, but I think that will give you enough flavor to see if it's worth investing time into:

Theres a free version of sketchup! I think if you go to downloads you can get the full 2017 version
@Laurel-Aylesworth As an alternative to blender, you could have a look at Shapr3d
I’ve not used it for a while but its more intuitive and quicker to learn than blender.
I’m not sure if it’s still completely free.
The other snag is it needs the Apple Pencil.
