Did you get permission from Jake Parker to use the Inktober logo? If not, I would recommend doing so before circulating this banner, as Inktober is a trademarked logo.
-
@Erin-Cortese oh, gosh! I havenβt thought of that. I sure will.

Hi, everyone! So I messaged Jake for permission to use the Inktober logo for the banner but he still hasn't reached back to be. So instead, I made this makeshift banner below. If you want one, I can send you a png copy. Just give me your email. Thanks!
I dunno if you saw Jake's latest email update about Inktober. But he was defo up for Inktober being used as a springboard for creativity in general.

4) There's no Inktober policeBy the way, there's no Inktober police going around looking to shut people down if they aren't using ink or the prompt lists. This is just for fun. While it's suggested to use real ink, keep things black and white, and use the official prompt list, the spirit of the challenge is very open to people being creative in what tools they use, how they use them, and what they create.
I've heard of a community of artists who are going to use the prompt list to make a new 3D model every day. There's also writers who are taking part in Inktober by writing a short story for each prompt.
Who's going to stop them and tell them they're doing inktober wrong? No one.
This month if you are tempted to call someone out for not doing Inktober the way you think they should be doing it I want you to just keep it to yourself. Only celebrate people's creativity and expression. Lets keep it positive out there on the web. Do like your mom taught you: "If you can't say somethin' nice, don't say nothin' at all."

Very true. Perhaps Inktober is fine then. Itβs about starting the creative juices and the making.
-
@Heather-Boyd yes exactly. I see Inktober as a big creative melting pot of artistic ideas. No boundaries. A month of making.
-
@sigross i totally agree!
-
@Nyrryl-Cadiz Does does it break any rules if I post a blank piece of paper?
I was doing so well keeping up with @Braden-Hallett βs wonderful inking 2.0 threads, then it all fell apartMaybe I can finish the inking 2.0 exercises during #fauxInktober!
-
@BichonBistro hahahahahha oh, dear... Hey, if you count that as art then go for it. No harm, no foul
