I've always done a cartoony style and had problems with backgrounds so I'm painting a lot of landscapes to try to improve my imagination. Here are two backpackers traveling on lonely road on a misty morning.

This reminds me of going camping in MacKerricher State Park. It's a forested area on the Northern California coast, so mist & fog are common. That was our summer vacation for several years. It's very beautiful and relaxing.
