This is my first submission and my first full illustration! I've never done a full background before and it made me want to cry at moments! There is so much I could critique on myself...but I was at a point where I just needed to get this moved off my brain and onto another illustration so I could continue learning. Looking forward to seeing everyone else's submissions!

@Heli-P - this is SO beautifully done.

@Katherine I really like how you've left space for text on the right.

I decided to stop painting because I was beginning to noodle and once that happens I could do it forever. Going to call it done. Saying Goodbye brought up many thoughts, but the one that stuck with me was the theme of death. Chirpy, I know.
Still riding that Rockwell train at the moment and I'm trying to incorporate his way of thinking into my own work. Hopefully it doesn't come across as direct imitation but more of an influence. -

@MarcRobinson
Love the concept and execution! I think it leans towards a Rockwell because of the period clothing, if it was a more modern environment I wouldn’t connect the two. -
@TY-Graphics-LLC
Love the rich color palette and line work! -
@cgibson
Nice character design! -
@Heli-P
Aw, So sweet. Love the frame outlines on the walls. -
@Larue thank you, and yeah the period clothes give it away a bit.

@Larue thanks! I’m still in search of a style. The line work is pencil on hot press Canson 90lb watercolor paper. This pencil work was then scanned. Color was applied digitally in Photoshop.

Saying goodbye - One of the teeth has to go away, but the other teeth friends are happy. instagram.com/nekohues -
@Heli-P I love this one, it is a sad situation but the expressions of the dog, girl and cat lighten up the mood

Hello! For this one I felt inspired to try to make a mini comic.

Here's my submission for October! I experimented quite a bit with my workflow on this piece. Lately, I’ve been feeling a bit stuck while working on my drawings, so I decided to change things up. Trying various workflows and techniques has really helped me work through that feeling!

@Mariana-B Brilliant work and concept!
