Quick iPad pro question (Time matters on this one)

@ArtofAleksey pppsh mac...I, sir, am a surface 2 snob.

If you ended up getting the iPad pro, I recommend applying a matte screen protector like this one: https://paperlike.com/
IMO it gives a much nicer drawing experience compared to using the apple pencil directly on the glass screen. -
@chrisaakins Man I struggle with the Mac/Windows - I use both platforms, and I honestly prefer Windows in most aspects, but the file sharing between Mac products is just so tight
-
@jdubz yeah because its assembled by 1 company.
-
@chrisaakins photoshop is also now available on ipad pro but im definitely buying a new mac once i move into my new room. I have a project idea for a large spread. Which is limiting in procreate.
-
@chrisaakins I've got a 256gb ipad pro. I've used 70 gb in a year and a half (half of that is my album collection and Samurai Jack cartoons). Most art files I store on the cloud. I would buy a 128gb if I upgraded to the new ipad pro. And not get cellular. Plus you can plug in a harddrive if necessary.

There's a software solution for that called HFS+ by Paragon software. It's for Windows so you can read all MacOS files from any hard drive. They do a similar version for Mac to read windows NTFS formatted drives.
-
@sigross they’ve changed the file system again
-
@ArtofAleksey Paragon has software for that too. APFS for windows.

The Mac drives i have are the old system. So I didn't know they would change it again! Nightmare. Apart from my ipad I'm all Windows now. Apple is way too overpriced for me. Prefer to build my own gear with good value and powerful Ryzen chips.
-
@sigross yeah the only reason i own their products is because i work at an apple store. Well.. not at the moment.
-
I just don't see what the advantages are though, like the ONLY reason I use a mac is literally the day-to-day tasks like moving and working with files, managing windows, backing up, etc are just faster.
