Visual artist/illustrator looking for portfolio feedback :)

Hello SVS community! My name is Anna and I would love some feedback on my current portfolio (https://www.annasorokinaart.com/my-work). I'm feeling a bit stuck in terms of where I'm going and what I need to improve on. I'm currently working on a self-initiated picture book https://www.annasorokinaart.com/diy-abcs, but I think that in general, my work would fit more of an editorial context. Please be as honest as possible with your feedback! Thank you so much.
First look I would say editorial as well because I recently made an acquaintance with an editorial focused illustrator from Sheridan college (Canada) and it just has that look but I do like the paper you are using. Because of that and your book -congrats on starting your own book project- I didn't necessarily read alphabet first, I read more like a construction manual, I did spot the "a" afterwards. With a few adjustments or maybe not, I could see your picture books being sold along with building kits for kids (using found materials and materials in the box to build environmentally friendly products like you have a bird house). Just a thought.
My favourite of your works is the Snail Play.
