Others in Rochester, NY Area?

I'm thinking it might be a good thing to see if I can meet some other illustrators and illustrator-hopefuls in my area. For some reason all of the societies and organizations focused on the applied arts in this part of NY state are in Syracuse (WHY??).

So ... anybody around?

I'm not sure what type of illustration you're interested in, but if you have interest in children's book illustration, but the Rochester Children's Writers & Illustrators group (RACWI) meets monthly. If you end up joining, you can also attend the Buffalo Niagara Children's Writers & Illustrators (BNCWI) group as part of your membership - the 2 groups have a collaborative relationship. (I'm in Buffalo.)
