Hello from Grand Rapids, MI

I think it's about time that I reach out to the community. First things, my name is Nick and I'm an independent creative working in the midwest. I come to illustration from industrial design and have slowly been developing my skills to take on narrative work. Attached are some images from the past few months. Feel free to say hello, comment on my work, or send me some of your own work. This is my first intentional forum experience, lets see how it goes! Currently working on a new site and social media, but I'm easily reachable here.
Hello and welcome. Your work is very intricate. I would be interested how you will bring that into a narrative mindset and work. If your on Instagram many of us are. Below this message will be mine,

@Nicholas-Brink Haha!!! I'm a wannabe Grand Rapidian myself; grew up everywhere from Lyon Street to Knapp's corner and now I'm an out-of-state student!
Have you been involved with the furniture industry? Seems like the thing an Industrial Designer in GR would be plugged in to-- but I could be wrong.
Your work is super clean and structural-- I get 80's vibes from the combination of the colors and linework. At what size do you illustrate these?
Hello, from another SW Michigan person! Small world You'll enjoy these forums, people here are really friendly and very helpful. Are you interested in children's illustration?

Hi, and welcome!
Your work is interesting; I love the 80's feel of it. Is it watercolor and ink, or am I way off there?
