Lesson 1 from learning Inkscape. Finished with GIMP.
It's just a design I know but, I need to share my work, right? Hoping that by learning more of these digital programs I can use them in making my book projects a little easier. Just making shapes and moving them around for now.

@Marsha-Kay-Ottum-Owen That's how it starts...step by step it will become like second nature to you and you'll find the software easier to use everyday! Lovely to see you learning the digital side of art it's not so scary after all!

@Marsha-Kay-Ottum-Owen Knowing how to use vector art programs is always a good idea! It makes doing things for companies and other people easier (I want this design on cards, mugs, sides of a car, and on a 4 story tall banner)
Inkscape IS a vector program, right...? I'm not crazy or forgetful? :smiling_face_with_open_mouth_closed_eyes:
@Braden-Hallett Thanks, Braden! Yes it is a vector program, which is why I want to learn it! Btw, my mother-in-law's name was Hallett. Maybe you're related to my husband and kids!
@lou I really hope it becomes natural! My friend uses illustrator and she zips around like nothing! :-). She's been doing it for 30 years though .
