Reviews on Illustration Mailers

After doing some mild research on the subject of art mailers, I found an Art Director that talks a lot about it.
Giuseppe Castellano. http://www.gcastellano.com/He reviews and discusses Illustration Mailers on twitter.

@jthomas This is really helpful to see - it helps lend perspective to what seemed very mysterious to me in the past, haha.
But, man, with such a beautiful crop of postcards showing up in his office everyday, I feel like they must be spoilt for choice! The competition seems quite high.

@animatosoor I agree on the competition. I look at it like this though, you are the only you and with a broad range of different illustration jobs around it definitely is beneficial to put yourself out there and make yourself consistently known. It's more than likely just the law of averages you are playing with.
-
@jthomas That's a great way to look at it. I needed to hear that tonight! You're right - it's important that we put ourselves out there.
-
@animatosoor You're welcome! I've learned over some time that if you don't believe in you and don't compare yourself to others (as much) no one else really will.

" I looked at every single mailer." That's the takeaway I hear from most illustrators agents and others that I talk/listen to.
Now I just need to work up the nerve to send them out :smiling_face_with_open_mouth_closed_eyes:
