WIP Broken "Love"
-
Finally got a chance to put together my basic idea for "Love". Now I can look at others!
Core Idea: A young cupid has broken his arrow, his father is helping him fix it with Duct Tape.
Here are the thumbnails I am considering:
Let me know which one you like best and why. I am not sure which is my favorite yet.

@theprairiefox I like the 1st composition the best even though his father isn't in it. But the 2nd one you can push the faces on each.
-
Let's hear it for out of class practice
I'm a big fan of #1 as well. It's got great potential for cupid's little nose just poking over/resting on the tabletop.
What're your keeeeeeeywords?
-
@Braden-Hallett You're right I should have put those on there! Doh!
Keywords: Comfort & Hopeful optimism
I had a hard time getting the feeling down to just a word...
-
@Braden-Hallett I did run this through a concept map. That is how I came up with the idea. Worked really well. I will scan it in and attach it tomorrow for proof.
-
@theprairiefox sorry for my ignorance but what’s a concept map?
(I think I like number 2 as it could show the emotional response between the father and Cupid ) -
@peteolczyk A concept map is diagram of related words to allow you to come up with creative ideas around a subject. I will put mine up tomorrow so you can see.
-
Hey! I like the first one best because of the perspective. I am curious about the look on young cupids face. Is it still said because of the broke arrow or hopeful because daddy is already there or a mix of both?
-
@peteolczyk and @Braden-Hallett here is my concept map for "Love".
-
Number 2 or number 4 are great!
-
@theprairiefox #2 is the clearest read for me. The size relationship of the cupid to father is defined. The left to right of the broken arrow and the tape is like a before and after, the solution is easy to read. Cool concept! hmmm, what else is on the handy dad workbench

@theprairiefox thanks for that, I think I know it as a mind map. Thanks for replying

Thanks all, I am doing a combination of #2 and #4. I think it should work well. Mostly #2 but framed like #4.
