Looking for a pen display tablet？

Hello everyone.
I recently upgraded my PC and now I'm thinking of buying new XP-Pen graphics tablet for it. As I have been using only a pen tablet DECO 02 for art, I'm thinking of getting a pen display. The problem is, I don't know much about them.
So I'm looking for help in deciding what kind of pen display I should buy. It should be something that I can hook up into my PC, so portability is not an issue, though I am willing to consider the options.
Thinking of this, I was going to get the XP-Pen Artist 15.6, but then I discovered that Wacom is planning to release the Artist 15.6 pro sometime next year. Because of the impending release, the Artist15.6 ( https://www.xp-pen.com/goods/show/id/225.html ) is currently on sale.
So should I wait for the release of the pro version, or go with the Artist 15.6 ? Or is there another alternative that I should consider? Or is the pen display just a waste of my money and I should stick with the DECO 02 pen tablet ( https://www.xp-pen.com/goods/show/id/324.html ) ?Thanks for your time!

He reviewed the both of tablets you mentioned and he has reviewed a lot of other different displays if you want more comparisons or options. The thing about tablets is that it comes down to what you can afford and what your personal preference is.
I made the switch a two years ago and I love drawing directly on the display. It helps me be more precise and work faster, especially since I do a lot of traditional art as well. I struggled a lot with sketching and drawing on the regular tablet, but don't even think twice now.
It's hard to say that any art tool is a 'waste of money' because it comes down to personal usage and usability. If a pen display will help you make art easier and more efficiently, then it's worth it. If not, then it isn't. I have heard of some people who don't like working on the display because they like not having their hand in front of the screen. You won't know until you try it. Since you are seriously considering upgrading, then it will probably be worth it for you. Also, if you do get it and don't like it, you can always return it

@teju-abiola i agree. Brad Colbow has a lot of useful reviews featuring cintiq alternatives and just pen-display tablets in general. He also has a site where he posts his top recommended tablets.
