Hand lettering and so forth
-
So, since I am not really good with typing things into photoshop, I have been thinking I will hand letter the text for my book. What I have done in the past is type it out, place it on the page, trace it and then ink it. I know it's a lot of work but I don't really mind...however, I am feeling a bit overwhelmed by it because it's one of the next steps! I learned all this about 47 years ago when I was studying graphic design...pre-digital. I was trying to find some good guidelines online but haven't found what I'm looking for. I really should just do it digitally but, I only briefly know photoshop and I, somehow, have a hard time controlling the typing. It goes off the page and I have to drag it down, or some other crazy thing. Also, my suscription ends on Feb 26th so I will then need to learn to use GIMP or some other freeware. I tried getting some of them downloaded and so forth as someone suggested but then I don't quite know how to do it. Is there a simpler way to do this? Just overwhelmed either way. Maybe I just need to gird up my loins and write it on tracing paper, transfer it to the page and ink and BELIEVE I can do it ..or believe I can master the digital.....or something
This is kind of long ..sorry..just needed to express my concerns I guess.
