Structure
-
Hi Everyone
I'm new here at SVS and I seem a little lost because there are so many classes. Does anyone have a structure I could follow. What to do first and so forth?
I really like to have some sort of plan to follow through and I would ideally like to do all the courses but there isn't a guideline I could follow here or at least I haven't found one.
If anyone has anything to share I'd be grateful.Thanks

Hi there! Welcome. SVS is an AWESOME resource! What is your background with art so far and what is your end goal?

@bleuleaf A list was posted a whiel ago, maybe by @Jake-Parker , @Lee-White , or @Will-Terry with a good progession. Not sure where to find it though.

@bleuleaf "Creative Composition" was a huge game changer for me. I personally believe it to be a great class to begin with because its very foundational. It really formed a great base for everything else I've learned through SVS. Good luck!

Here is the thread http://forum.svslearn.com/topic/3196/where-to-start
Welcome to SVS!!!

Welcome! Yes, look through the thread that Eric linked here. It all really depends on your skill level though. You may feel the need to jump ahead or skip certain things. But, it is a good idea to review certain topics as well. Good luck!

@withlinesofink I have done some art and about 10 years ago I did some fine art but I want to get into children's illustrations and also learn more about digital painting and I don't have a strong portfolio at all. But in general I just want to revisit everything and find my own style along my journey here.

@eric-castleman thank you!

That SVS thread Eric posted is exactly what I'd recommend then! And keep posting here, we love talking about and helping each other out with art!
