Treehouse WIP Improved perspective?

Very cute, and I think you've got the perspectives lots better on the houses.
-
@Kat Yay! Thanks, Kat.

The perspective looks good. What if the line work was loosened up a bit on the houses so it's more natural looking? Hope you don't mind me drawing over your work just to show what I mean. Kudos on being ambitious with multiple houses on different planes! -
@smithdraws Yes. that looks good. I was hoping to loosen things up as I added details. I don't dare do it without a ruler yet!
-
Looks good! nice concept. only the one in the middle front looks of perspective. Its seems like its above horizon line, so the rooftop should go downwards' and you wouldn't be able to look 'on top'.
-
@Leontine Hmm.... I used one point on the horizon line with a ruler so, I'm not sure why. The other ones I used 2 point though so, that's probably why it looks off. I'll try it with 2 point and see if it improves. Thanks, Leontine. I guess you can't mix up perspectives
-
@Leontine Hopefully I got it right now because I added more detals
-
@Marsha-Kay-Ottum-Owen You've added some fun details. I think my favorite might be the welcome mat. Nice!
-
@Marsha-Kay-Ottum-Owen Using good perspective is hard isn't it. I Struggle with that a lot. the new version looks really awesome. Cant wait to see the colored version and some birds appear! Well done!

@Marsha-Kay-Ottum-Owen Hi Marsha, I took the liberty to draw over your sketch - I hope you don't mind. My suggestion isn't a right or wrong thing - it's another possibility if you want your drawing to be more dynamic. Sometimes illustrations function better with less dynamic perspective so keep that in mind - depends on the mood or story you're trying to convey. My suggestion is to vary the size of the tree houses for a more interesting perspective but again - it's not wrong to share a more symmetrical view.
-
@Will-Terry That's actually really nice to see! I tend to have flat pictures and have been thinking about how to get more depth. I might leave this one as I have spent a lot of time on it but, I think I will do another one trying out the different angle. I was thinking that if I could make a big imaginary box to set the objects I draw into I might do better at creating more depth but, I don't know if that is true or not. I really need to paractice the more dynamic angles. It really does make a big difference!
I think I'll start over
-
WOW! You have a lot of bravery to go for that much perspective! I love the finished houses at the end, and I like what Will did to add a bit of depth into the piece. Good work!
-
@JeaneBean Thanks
-
@Will-Terry This isn't as dramatic as your sample but...I think it's a little bit better. What do you think? Am I progressing?
Not quite sure about that little guy there....I wanted to have him standing up, looking at the tree with wonder but....I'll have to work on that or leave it out.
The closest branch looks kind of scrunched in too.....aaahhh!
-
@Marsha-Kay-Ottum-Owen Yes! I like your perspective better on this one
-
@Will-Terry Good! I'll go forward then and get it done. Thanks!
