SCBWI summer conference

I am currently trying to log in and pay for the summer conference, though it seems like a lot of people have the same idea as me, since the site is loading like it is 1999.
Do these things sell out really quickly? My wife seems to think so, and it has me worried.

I don't think you need to worry THAT much, though my experience is with the winter conference not the summer conference. Registration is open for awhile I think.
Of course my saying that might jinx it for you so...

It was great! Lots of great info and especially great networking opportunities. In NYC its really easy for them to get editors and ADs out to look at the illustrators portfolios, so there is that. I couldn't make it this year but I'm planning on it next year.
