Howdy from the UK!

Hi all, my name is Dan and I'm a new subscriber here! I've jumped right in and am currently taking the 'Drawing Villains and Monsters' class which is awesome so far, and after that I'd like to go onto the 'Breathing Life Into your Character Designs' class.
I'm a Graphic Designer by day but want to change careers and become a Character Designer/VisDev artist, so I'm hoping that all of these brilliant resources help me with that. I'm taking a load of classes elsewhere, namely OA Live at Oatley Academy, Daniel Arriaga's Character Design course over on Schoolism, and I'm currently a mentee of Sarah Marino doing Visual Development. Keeping busy!
I'd say I was an intermediate artist/painter - I've been doing it for a few years now and love learning. If you'd like to see some of my work then head on over to my portfolio on tumblr, best of luck with your journeys everyone!
Cheers, Dan

Welcome!
Fun stuff on your blog--following you!
I was looking at doing OA Live but I don't think it's the right time for me, but I love the Paperwings Podcast. How is your experience there? I may sign up come new year.

Hello everyone and sorry for the late reply! Thank you all for your kind words about my work, much appreciated

@Rowan-Ferguson Hi Rowan! I do all of my colour in Photoshop, starting with either a scanned pencil sketch or doing my lines directly into the program on my Cintiq. I do use Illustrator for my graphic design work, though.

@Sarah-LuAnn Hi Sarah! OA Live is great and very in depth, with some brilliant resources and interviews with industry professionals. It's definitely worth the sign-up and will do wonders for how you think about story and theme in your work. Hope you join!
Paperwings is awesome, as are all of Chris Oatley's Artcasts. I'm going to be on one of them soon as he interviewed a load of us 'first wave' OA Live students which was a blast
