The link is to a video that explains Adobe’s new TOS, basically they’re now requiring unlimited access to what you make using their software and can use it for whatever they want… including teaching their Ai. How does that work with NDAs? How is that a thing in the professional art world? I was always debating if I should switch to photoshop but now I’ll be buying affinity when my new ipad gets here.
Do you know if it applies to images saved on the creative cloud? Are they accessing files on our computer's hard drive?? Clearly this is overreach.
This is the first I have heard about Adobe's new TOS. That's insane, truly overreach if they are taking anything you make with their program and not compensating you in any way.
I often use Clip Paint Studio and as far as I know they are not scraping your work to train AI.

@Julia-Hegetusch there is no clear language to say they don’t access your local files but they absolutely do say they review the content manually and automated that are on their cloud.

@NessIllustration yes it is possible. You can block activity from applications on a Mac computer by going to system preferences > network > options then hit the plus sign to add the software you wish to prevent incoming commands. For outgoing you can use a modestly priced third party app called “Radio Silence.” You can google YouTube videos that explain it better than I. Of course prior to the monthly subscription renewal the software needs to be unblocked temporarily.
Personally I’m tired of paying $64 a month. Most likely I will cancel the subscription and go back to the CS3 master collection Creative Suite that purchased back in 2008.
To make things even more confusing, Adobe claims it has been part of the terms for years. Here’s an article from Creative Bloq. I’m tired of being used by all these software companies.

@danielerossi, let's say they have been doing this for years; the difference now is that the software is now context-aware. Think about how the AI features in Photoshop can "comprehend" what is being depicted in the file you are editing, then interpret the text prompt you provided, and now create a fill that is remarkably integrated seamlessly into the composition. That is the game-changer and why such terms are completely unacceptable encroachments into our work.
I develop software, document inventions, and illustrate concepts. I require that my intellectual property remain confidential and only be shared with whomever I choose with an NDA.
I can only imagine they'd get any access to stuff you save to the cloud instead of your machine. Which I never do, and find it annoying every time Photoshop decides to default back to Cloud saving
