Unique and Appealing character design assignment

Hello everyone! It’s been awhile since I’ve been on here. For those of you who don’t know, my name is Mia. I am striving to get better at my art so I could become a visual development artist one day. I wanted to share my character designs I did for @AnnaDaviscourt class “Unique and Appealing Character Design.” These are supposed to be Steampunk Fairies (I’m currently obsessed with the Steampunk aesthetic) and I wanted to maybe get some feedback on my drawings

@MiaNova these are wonderful! As you give each character their personality you can emphasize it with their visual.

@MiaNova Hey, I love your sketching style, what are you using? I agree that your characters are beautiful! Im not seeng too much variation (apart from dress) in the different versions, besides Vi, whose hair styles really change the whole feel ( I like where her hair covers her face in the fire dress, but Id love to see the arms/sleeves mimic that fiery thing (maybe it wouldnt be steam punk, but i think it would match the hair and the hemline)).

I like how each of the different characters has a different body shape and you really did focus on the shapes in these! they feel interesting and unique--are you going to do a color lineup of the ones you choose? if so I hope you post it in this thread, Id love to see it!

my faves: Vi with the bangs and bow, Penelope with the big sun hat, Jackson... Idk these look like based on different professions but idk what he is supposed to do, so not sure which one does it best. Flo with the high waisted pants and belt, Mr. Clockwork with the very black boots.

@R-Fey-Realme thanks so much for the feedback! I use procreate and use a sketching pencil my dad made. I love the idea of adding those fiery sleeves to Vi I think that would make an excellent touch! Jackson is just supposed to be a hardworking man so I didn’t really give him a specific profession yet lol. With the variations I tried to keep things simple by not adding too much detail but I should push myself more, especially with the outfits. Coloring them will be the fun part! I’ll definitely post it on the forum once I’m done. Thanks so much again!
