I don't get to toot my own horn much, but I just noticed that the first book I illustrated reached over 1000 reviews on amazon. I'm not expecting to be ordering a luxury boat anytime soon, but it's great to see that my work is been seen and enjoyed by kids around the world

I do feel that my style has changed somewhat since then, however I hope it has changed in a positive way. It's hard to judge my own work as I will often find issues with newer pieces more than I did for the previous ones at times. Does anyone feel that same way?

Hooray! How wonderful to know that your own work is being loved and enjoyed by children and their families. 🥳 The book looks adorable!
I think I know what you mean: I sometimes have harsh criticism for my current work, then a few days later I like it much more. I can see the good stuff more clearly? On the other hand, if I look at my illustrations from a year ago I cringe like mad - but maybe that's because I'm still only beginning.

Noticed one 1 star review that said the book was grooming children and teaching them to say bad words like Pickle and Bottom..... So I'm glad you like the name.
