I would love some help learning how to use layer masks as @davidhohn does in the Practical Perspective class (for example, at 12:51 in the bedside table demo) Screen Shot 2023-02-07 at 1.19.06 PM.png

...any favorite youtube tutorials, or maybe videos in other classes here at SVS Learn, that have helped you get the hang of it?

I realize it's not necessary to do it this way for the Practical Perspective class, but I'm trying to learn to use Photoshop for illustration at the same time as I'm moving through the foundation courses, so I'd rather try to figure it out than to work around it.

      Thanks!

@GabeRobinson there's a "jump in the studio" session with David that he talks more in depth about how he uses layer masks! It's fabulous. I would start there.

@AngelinaKizz Thank you!! I will look for it. I hadn't actually checked out the "Jump into the Studio" section before you mentioned this (I was trying to move through the Foundations path rather than letting myself jump around, lol). But wow, it looks like there's some fantastic stuff in there! Thanks!

@GabeRobinson it's kind of like listening to their podcast but it's watching them work through their processes. I really enjoy the studio sessions. I wish they'd add more
