Interesting to watch your process! I would love to see how you update, with the painterly look. Great rendering however! Very cool storytelling too... Curious if the parrot holds the other half of his vision? If someone else mentioned this in the thread my apologies if I missed it...

@ArtistErin I'm guessing the parrot's lost a bit of his peripheral vision, and all of his depth perception, but his night vision is now off the charts!

Project Day 10: After vacation/holidays and some more urgent projects, finally able to return and continue work on the lighter values (mostly fur and leather tonight). -
Project Day 11: I'd love to have this wrapped up by the end of this weekend, so I really pushed hard today, finishing the lighter values, shadows, and magic effects. If the background, water, and reflections rendering plays nice, I might be able to move onto a new project next week -
Project Day 12: A lot of waver, cave, and sand rendering today, but now that that's out of the way, I can push through, finish the background, and add the final textures and value adjustments to call this done tomorrow.
-
Project Day Lucky Number 13: And with the background painting and texture additions, we're finally done!
-
I really like the progress
-
@ajillustrates it looks great! Loved to see how it developed layer by layer.
-
@Chantal-Goetheer Thanks!

One of my goals is to write more this year, so I put the (mostly) whole Photoshop process for the creation of this piece on my website's blog. If you're interested, you can read about it here.
