Lucky March
-
Hi All, This is my idea for March. Really, it represents me learning pieces of photoshop in hopefully a constructive way I am wondering how this piece comes off. The idea is the older generation wanting the best for the younger generation, passing on the good luck that helped them have a good life. Does it read that way? Are the stick figures in a good spot? Any other feedback is welcome. Thanks! (P.S. Riley is still in his garage... hopefully he will be done soon )

This loads up HUGE on my computer... did I save it too large?

@Frogpunzel right now I’m having a hard time discerning the story here. The background is very confusing, I’m not sure what I’m looking at. As for the figures, stick figures should be avoided. Stick figures are intended to be a basic way of presenting a person but for illustration they don’t lend much use to telling effective stories. I’d recommend Will’s new class on story telling for some great lessons and advice.

@Frogpunzel I’d have to agree with @Griffin not a clear story, and the contrast in different styles is a bit conflicting. Maybe keep the background but add stylized characters? Collage works can be very fulfilling but this needs a bit more work I think.

@Griffin @Asyas_illos Thank you for the honest feedback... I think your right about the unclear story. I will work my way up to that class you mentioned Griffin. I tried working on this one a little more, but I think I may just move on. In the end, I did learn some cool tricks on photoshop that I can use on later pieces even if this one didn't work out. Thanks for your time.
