For my entry I am going to live in a kitten's dream and a dad's nightmare.

I am planning on trying to do it in a style similar to jesuso ortiz but instead of using objects in the illustration I will be using a woodcut print to add the color.

I know I will need to simplify my sketch style down to get closer to what I want but I thought I would throw it out for comments on layout and any ideas on ways to improve the design.

      I welcome any comments.

@kim-hunter They are supposed to be following the body of the cat as it jumps.

I have been playing with it and will have a clearer image posted today. I wanted a more sparse feel and think I am getting closer.

          Thanks for the question.

Ok, I have played with the layout (a bit) and the characters trying to get a better definition.

This is an assembled WIP. I am planning on inking it by hand and using a crayon for the orange (I think).

Let me know your thoughts or any feedback.

@theprairiefox I like the idea, I feel like the single foot at the bottom feels awkward though. Where's the other foot? Or where's the blanket covering the other foot? But maybe this is part of the more sparse feel you mentioned you were going for? Good luck!

Maybe show more body of the person? So that its immediately seen that someone is sleeping.

@samanta & @Frogpunzel thanks for the feedback... I will try it with another foot and play with how to make it look more like is in bed.

Here is sort of what I am thinking for finish... though I think I might thin the lines down even further.

                    Do you like the crayon?
