Getting back to work

Hi! Joining this community last year was very beneficial to me, however, at one point life got in the way and I took a longish break... I started the year decided to get back on the learning track, following the SVS classes and starting to progress on my dreamed comic book work, so ..here I am!

However, in december I did a bit of relaxed work: for some years I have been drawing a mascot for my daughter's Irish dance Class. She is a cat called Caoimhe, she has an instagram page of her own and at events I print stickers, teeshirts and such with her. For this Christmas season I prepared a coloring sheet for the kids and a postcard.

One future project I have on my list would be making a small chilren's book aimed at the Irish dance kids, featuring this kitty. I feel I have a lot of work ahead, I am comfortable with small cartoonish style illustrations and get lost on larger scenes. I struggle a lot with colors, coloring this postcard was a pain - it is done in procreate but I recreated the exact way I color with colored pencils on paper because anything else looked far worse :). (that's why making coloring pages is always a relief ) I also have to work on character consistency as my characters keep changing proportions and appearance in time...

I have some basic notions about colors and value... but seem to have a gap between understanding these basics and applying them in a project. Can anyone reccomend which coloring class on SVS seems best for starting to get results in practice?

@melissa_bailey Thank you Melissa! I will try to follow Will Terry's course and I also thought of trying to pick and replicate the coloring of some pieces Iike, as "training wheels"
