October contest question
-
For those of you who created a piece for the October contest, I am curious who worked digitally and who worked traditionally? I would love to know! Due to my inexperience, some pieces I can tell and some I cannot.
-
That's a great question! I am a completely traditional artist, and in my piece for the October contest I used India ink and a little bit of gouache for the green sprout!
️

I did both actually.
By looking at the pieces....can you tell which is which?
-
@Kara_Bazley Awesome! I used India ink and a white jelly roll pen. I also tried to use a green acrylic ink for the needles on my tree but it didn't show up quite how I was hoping. I keep hearing about people using gouache, I haven't tried that yet. I think I need to learn more

@randarrington I think I've seen the pictures, but I can't find them now. What thread are they under? Or could you post them here? I want to see if I can tell which is which!

@Frogpunzel Here's direct links to the images
I'm curious how this will go....

@randarrington Ok, so after looking at these pretty closely my guess is the first and the last are digital? The two middle ones are not?
-
@Frogpunzel very close. the first one is procreate. the second is all traditional ink. the third is procreate. and the last one is an Adobe Illustrator file (it's completely vector). Well spotted good sir.
I actually missed one that was both traditional and digital. Great guessing!!!!!!

@randarrington Thanks that was fun to guess!
