Day 3 vessel

Day 2 was done on pen and paper sorry the image a bit blurry.
Day 3 I went back to digital, a lot easy to edit
-
Was feeling extremely inspired by the pieces I was seeing on instagram and just had to try some textures and patterns for my foliage. I think this is a wrap. Imma rest my back now οΈ

Inktober Day 3 - "Vessel"
Got a little darker with this one, but I wanted to do a concept piece for a death process in my comic. I wanted to show the life moving from the vessel to the intangible.
I also wanted to challenge myself against my painterly style and try to be more black and white oriented in regards to the smokey clouds. It was definitely a different way of thinking about the cloud forms.
So, no, not a character design - more of a concept piece.
I LOVE seeing all y'alls inktober! It's keeping me committed! I hope y'all are having as much fun with it as I am!
Cheers!

@JoshSchouwstra I love it! Can't wait to see a whole story? Is the story is ready already or you invent it every day?

Sorry guys am a bit late to the party, I am going for a star wars theme this year. So here are my first 3 prompts. The Crystal Fox, The Mandalorian Suit, and Grogu in his Vessel.

Day 4 Knot!

Inktober Day 4 - " Knot"
WOW! This one was deceptively difficult!
Took a lot of relearning certain techniques to achieve the looks I was going for!I typically think like a painter, but inking is all about thinking in 2-3 tones, y'know, negative and positive space. It took a lot of inspirational browsing and quick study (and hours of practice before bed to reacclimate the hand and brain to a different technique) to get to even the half way done mark.
Anywho - yes, "knot" - a character design! Three spirity looking creatures who got themselves alllll sorts of tied up
A hard one, but a fun one! Enjoy y'all
Stay busy, keep healthy!
