Hello! I'm a newbie!

Hi everyone!
I finally decided to pursue something I've only just done "for fun". I've always drawn and doodled (even in business meetings), created my own comics, and just all around been an artist. In my other life, I'm a comedian and have been for about 15+ years. And for money, I'm an event specialist.One of my goals is to someday illustrate a childrens book.
Another of my goals, is to get so good at environments that I can finally illustrate what I see in my dreams. I guess, I finally want to be able to draw what I see in my head instead of have it come out half as good.
My handicap is digital illustration, I do not understand layers to save my life. I hope to get better at that too.I have an instagram that I've been uploading my doodles to if you'd like to check them out! - @leeloodawndraws

Welcome @Leslie-Nesbit! If you have an iPad, I suggest you try out Procreate to get familiar with layers. It’s a great tool and the layer system is pretty friendly in my opinion.

Thanks for the welcome everyone! And for the helpful suggestions. I do have procreate on my ipad and just need to hunker down and fiddle around with the layers and stuff. I can't wait to get to know everyone. Thank you again !
