Hellooooo! Happy August 1st! Whatcha all workin' on?
Imagine you are walking through a studio silently looking over peopleās shoulders at their work.
This is NOT a place for critiques. You may applaud, encourage, ooh and ah only.

I am doing a 31 day challenge for August. Since I am creating a web comic with my bear, Colin, I wanted to practice drawing him so I can nail in his character design. To make it interesting I am combining that practice with Kick in the Creatives challenge of drawing 31 animals for August AND I have also added an emotion to each day so there is a story to actually illustrate each day, not just drawing static animals. which would be boring.
Here is Day 1, Ink and color. And I included my random generated prompt list in case anyone wants to join in.

Iām working on a series of designs for a board book/ABC book for ages 3-6, came out of a few happy accidents while scribbling one evening and I decided to keep going with it, if only to switch things up a little. Iāve been struggling with the completion of a manuscript/dummy, and my brain seemed to need the variety.

Yesterday, I completed another in my series of riffs on Little Red Riding Hood, which I'm planning on making into a calendar and potentially some other self-printed stationery stuff. These are "The Woodchopper's World" and "Grandma's Reading Bench". I'm really enjoying imagining these classic fairy tale characters in different contexts that we don't actually see in the story. I like the idea of a lone woodchopper felling a forest by himself one tree at a time, and that Grandma actually has a life outside of being the victim of a wolf! I imagine her wooden tree bench may have actually been carved by Grandpa, perhaps...
Anyway. I'm enjoying these and will continue to do more.

@burvantill Lisa, that's brilliant! Have fun with it!! It looks like it's going to have all kinds of opportunities to tell wonderful stories in single images! Can't wait to see your progress through it!

Hi! I am on vacation with my family - thus missing the Challenge date for Albertās homeā¦
Well, instead I made a thematic drawing for my kidās irish dance school summer program. I already introduced Porchi, and the cat Caoimhe is a mascot I voluntarily draw for the dance school at events. She has her own Instagram page, if you care to look. The cartoony style I am used to draw, from wich I try to grow up a bitā¦@caoimhe_meow
