Albert designs
-
Jumping back into contests this month with this fun prompt! My first thought was Albert the Aardvark, because of the alliterative device, but also because I thought of this Aardvark wearing glasses....
Never did it occur to me that it might be because of Arthur the Aardvark. I had forgotten he was an aardvark??
Oh well. Arthur didnt look anything like an aardvark. He looked like a bear.
Maybe I'll change my animal, but here's what I sketched this morning. -
@kylebeaudette I was thinking Aardvark too but yours is super cute I'll find a new inspiration. Go for it!
-
@kylebeaudette please don't take this the wrong way, but I LOVE how wonky he is!
-
@Larue I think there's room for at least 8 aardvarks, go for it!!
-
@Melissa-Bailey-0 I aim for some wonk, no problem
-
Love your style!
-
Aardvark is cool - I can really imagine him as a stuffed toy!
-
I feel like I can currently identify with his facial hair situation! LOL
-
-
Bit more on this guy
-
@kylebeaudette Love it!
-
I think I'm done with this guy now. Not sure how to get it to fit the critique arena format or whatever. I'll figure it out
For this one I tried to focus on the stuffed animal, mischief, and animation aspects. I could see this design doing all that.
Ill do another! -
@kylebeaudette I think this is a very likable and memorable character It is cute without being too cute, looks like he could become someone's special friend
-
Kids would love this guy! (No higher compliment can be made!)
-
@kylebeaudette Love the nervous-energy quality to this character! He looks perfect for being the main character in a book that I'd read my own kids about being anxious about the first day of school. Great work.

@ajillustrates thank you!! I was thinking about the part in the brief where he's 'adjusting' to a new life
@RachelArmington I hope they wouldn't find him too gross
