Does anybody else ask random people if you can take their picture so you can illustrate them? I saw this older lady at the natural foods market today and she was just the cutest character, I just I had to draw her! but I wanted to take her picture for reference... she said no
was it weird of me to ask? She said she was very flattered but she has a thing about smart phones, I guess? One of those older hippie types, doesn’t trust the government lol
I get it. I told her she didn’t have to have her face in it but it was a no go. so I took a good mental picture and this is what I got I can’t wait to color it because that’s what just topped it off!

I just loved painting this lady she was truly a muse today I wish I could find her and give her copy, but she’d probably think I’m a stalker at that point lol

She has a great spirit, which you've caught perfectly. If it were just the shape of her, even with the wind in her hair, she might not have stood out in the crowd as much for you.
