I feel like I'm on the verge of overworking this thing, and also losing my mind. So I'm just putting this out in the world, but does anyone else feel like it's hard to know when you're done?

Lovely illustration @Matthew-Oberdier 🙂 . I do agree it's very hard to know when a piece is finished, but I heard a great advice (on a podcast long time ago I believe), that when you don't have anything to add, or anything to take away from the illustration, then you know you are finished.

@TamaraDomuzin thank you. That makes sense. I guess the trick is knowing if you've added too much or not enough. I suppose the underlying story or idea should be the ultimate guide to let you know. This illustration doesn't have much of a story to it. I just wanted to have something in my portfolio that was a spot illustration with transportation and a pair of anthropamorphic animals. Maybe I just need a stronger concept..

Cute piece. I don’t know if you’re looking for a critique but I’d like to point out that this piece is too dark. You can try to lighten the undersides of your characters

@Nyrryl-Cadiz Thanks for the feedback. I lightened it some. How does this look?

It's kind of crazy how much different it looks on my monitor than my phone. This one's even lighter:

@Matthew-Oberdier this looks a lot better! You should be able to adjust the Settings on your computer monitor so that is closer to what you see on your phone.
