Inktober 2020 - Week 3
-
Sorry for beeing late. Here are my drawings for the first half of week 3:
11 - Disgusting: Insect cafe
12 - Slippery: Undead cleaning lady
13 - Dune: Desert snake (I'm experimenting with darker paper)
14 - Armor: Crocodile warrior
-
- I like that drawing , looks like something that I will see in a magazine in Europe
-
- Now that’s really funny!
-
- Whoa , that’s really original , like the sand around , very nice
-
- You put the word armor next to this drawing and it become such a symbol, the concept is so beautiful .
-
@marek-halko love your style! The black and white version works great and your colors are really nice too
-
@Norman-Morana loving the style you’re doing these in - did you take Lee White’s experimental ink class? Wondering if these are traditional or digital, they’re all good
-
@Maureen Cute idea!
-
@Cayleen Yay Canada! Love it!

Day 14: ARMOUR
-
Thank you, @VeronicaMui ! I appreciate that
All my inktober posts have been created traditionally. As for Lee’s class, I started it but I haven’t had a chance to finish it yet, I think I only finished the first demo part about line. I did however see his sped up experimental inking sneak peek last month. I took some ideas from that like the brayer and pallet knife for inking. I hadn’t really thought about ink much, and seeing that it could be handled in a process I would enjoy and could fit with my current work was energizing. -

Inktober Day Fourteen - Armor
Ultimately, I was deciding between a robot with massive shoulder pads, or an anthropomorphic animal wearing armor.
I settled on the animal, drawing a couple of storks.I didn't esactly paln out the architecture in my under-drawing, so that was a bit challenging to draw (same with the water), but overall, I'm pleased with what I got!
I decided on a seashell motif for the guard's armor, and took inspiration from a spear and harpoon for his weapon.
The helmet is a combination of Roman, Spartan, and Gondor (from the Lord of the Rings movies) designs. -
