SVS Inktober Thread
-
Wow, everyone's doing such beautiful work! I'm learning a lot just seeing this great art. I didn't really have much internet access last week, so I'm joining this thread a bit late.
I've done Inktober each day, but here's the ones I'm able to share here: (PS I love feedback - trying to improve!)

Inktober Day 9. Winny.
Winny became an orphan at the age of 6 when her parents and siblings were killed for information regarding the location of the Guardian Manuscripts. She doesn't talk much and is entirely independent, having lived pretty much all on her own for the past five years. She is a descendant of Aelia.

You'd have thought sharks would get boring after 10 days, but nope... here's Frankenshark!

@Carey-Bowden nice work with the textures.
@shinjifujioka I'm loving your characters!Here's day 10.
-
@joyce_carmo Thank you! Your character design has me interested in what sort of story they'll be involved in I like how you do your linework!

Here's a tree I inked with me and my wife's names carved into the side. It wasn't until it was too late that I realized there were some light source problems... oh well, ink and learn...

Inktober Day 10. Winny.
Tried to ink a little more loosely and quickly. I think the feel is better, but brush control needs to improve a ton.
-
Miss a few days because of family visiting from out of town. The brush pen is a challenging instrument!

Thank you! I like to build my lines with technical pens starting with a 0.05mm, depending on the size of the sketch underneath. These are really small drawings. And I wonder what kind of story I'll be able to create too, hahaha! Seriously, I've been trying to think about a story while creating the characters, but I feel like there's still a lot of things to plan out, and I'm not really sure this will work at all. lol But as long as I'm having fun and they give me a motive to work on something, I'm okay with it.
Day 11 - Another small drawing for the main roster. I think this character changed the most since 2013.
-
Just catching up after falling behind. I'm getting a little more practiced with the brush pen.
-
Just a quick doodle practice. I think I'll need to switch gears for the rest of Inktober. Constantly trying to think of additions to the story is pretty tough. Gotta save some creative juices for other pieces I'm working on.

I've been at my brother's wedding this weekend, so here are yesterday's and today's #inktober drawings...
Shark Kent
A Random Angry Shark (there was little time, so no direction lol)
Because it was my brother's wedding, I did a quick caricature of him and his wife with a Copic marker so thought I'd throw the picture of him up here as well...

OMG, I forgot to post yesterday's Inktober on the forum!

Today's entry.
Maybe from today on I'm not gonna make it post everyday. I've been feeling a lot of pain in my arm and the doc said I should take a few days from drawing. Too bad! -
you really nail postures joyce
not much time for inktober lately, I'm trying to give all my spare time to some colouring and background practice instead, but I love coming here to see what's posted. keep it up! -
Love everyone's posts! This is day 12 ink for me

Yesterday and today's #inktober drawings.
The first is a bad joke on the way Rick from Walking Dead pronounces his son's name Karl now.
I took my daughter to the fair last night and it reminded me of when I used to be a kid and if you won at hook a duck you got a goldfish in a plastic bag.

@audrey-dowling thanks Audrey!
For today's Inktober I stick with small stuff.
