1705 days ago I set out on 100 days of drawing since I had been creating artwork less and less. Then it became 365 days of drawing, just to see if I could.

1705 consecutive days later I am ready for something different as I am finding myself simply doing quick sketches as because "I have to" to keep the number of consecutive days sitting at the drawing table going.

I had a website updated with each drawing for the first 100 days and then sporadic as I have gotten lazier.

I am hoping this site will give me more reason to create the work (as I am certainly not making any money off of my artwork!)

Thats a lot of drawing, well done for the effort. Doing something fresh, will help motivate you to do something more creative.

Never give up, always push yourself two steps further than you believe you can go.

You could always try 100 somethings. It is good exercise to draw everyday, but it loses all joy for me when I draw because i have to, with no end target in site. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xxa01j9Ns7o

Wow, that is a LOT of days! A good exercise, but I can see how you could feel like you've stopped progressing after awhile. Your drawings are really fun, though!

One thing one of my teachers had us do was what she called 3 starts, 1 finish, which is exactly what it sounds like--in one week, you make three "starts" or ideas/concepts, choose your favorite of the three and take that favorite all the way to finish. I feel like it was a good balance of just drawing to get ideas out there, while also taking the good drawings to a higher level.

Maybe you could try something like that.

That's what I have been thinking of doing. It would still be a daily thing but I have the sketching down and am getting bored silly!
