About Monthly Prompt Submissions
-
I watched the recent October critique and I am inspired to do the November one!
But I'm new here and not entirely sure how things work. Is there anything specific I have to do?
How big/small can the image be? JPEGs or PNG? Should I include the prompt words in my illustration?
Can I do traditional? If so, do I just upload the picture?
Will I be instantly submitted into the critique if I post in the November 2024 thread?
What is the absolute deadline I need to meet to be critiqued on the Youtube channel? I saw the the next one was on November 21. Do they need the artwork a few days before?
Anything else I should know?
Sorry for the amount of questions. I like knowing how something works before I do it.
Thank you! -
@AthenaBeana hi. The deadline is always the 1st of the month. So your image needs to be uploaded onto the November submission thread by 1st November. I don't think there are size requirements, but I'd just make sure it has a resolution high enough not to be blurry. I always upload mine as a jpeg. Make sure you put you name in the file name of your image too. I think there are guidelines in the first post of the thread to help.

@MarcRobinson Thank you so much! Just to clarify, do you mean name as in my forum name (AthenaBeana) or my actual real name?
-
@AthenaBeana no problem. Use which ever name you want them to read out on the critique.

@MarcRobinson I think I understand fully now! Thanks again!

@AthenaBeana, I'm super excited you've decided to try submitting one of the prompts! It would be really helpful if you titled the file first-last.jpg. Feel free to message me if you have any questions or need help. I can't wait to see your submission!

I'm glad you asked this question because I was wondering the same things! Looking forward to seeing your submission!
