Hi all,
Thanks Will for a great prompt- it inspired me to enter the contest for the first time. As soon as I read it I knew I wanted to draw a portly alligator.
-
@swedishbear love the monkey's expression -he pushed his cockiness a tad too far lols -and I think it is well rendered too.
-
@Heather-Boyd Iโm glad the expression reads; that was probably the toughest part! I imagined itโs how Iโd feel if my plan to get swallowed by an alligator actually worked.
-
@swedishbear Awww I love the chubby alligator! It makes me think that's what Bongo was teasing him about, poor Clyde! Hahah. Bongo has such a beautiful silhouette! Glad you entered the contest!
-
@Maiia this a wonderful style!
-
@MirkaH love the fish bones in the belly!
-
This was so much fun to imagine and work on my digital art skills. Itโs all done all in procreate. Love seeing everyoneโs interpretations of the story.
-
@swedishbear thanks Heidi! I made a few more tweaks and resubmitted.
-
Really enjoyed this months' prompt. Loving seeing everyone else's interpretations

Hi everyone,
My name is Cathy "Myriam"Spee and this is my first time entering.
I found SVS trough YouTube and I loved the podcasts so much I decided to join this awesome group of illustrators.
My roots come from computer animation, but my life took me to graphic design, teaching and some entrepreneurial journeys. My dreams has always been illustration and I hope to keep learning new techniques at SVS learn. Any critiques are welcome. -
Happy I finished this time (and with time to spare! woo!) It's done entirely in watercolor, gouache, colored pencil, and pen for the eyes.
