MAY CONTEST: ISOLATION

@aprilshin Thanks so much! 🥰

I finished something! Yay! Thanks for the feedback on the WIP last week. I'm thankful for every push to get out of my comfort zone.

@Tessa-Yates Hi Tessa! I’m not sure if anyone’s answered your question yet, but if you’re drawing in Photoshop, you can press ctrl alt shift S. A window will pop up where you can adjust the pixel size (bottom left area) and you can adjust the quality with a slider on the right side. It gives you 4 views with 4 different qualities (top left is always the original image) so you can compare how much you can decrease the quality without losing too much sharpness. You can also see the file size right below each image. Usually, if I decrease the pixel size first, I can still keep the quality pretty high.
I hope this wasn’t too confusing! This is how I approach it and it works pretty well for me.

@chrisaakins I love it! Great concept and one that is way too true for many that might not even know it.

@Sami-K this is fresh. I really like the colour palette. Good luck!

MAY CONTEST: ISOLATION
First contest entry for me. I’ve been dying to join the fun for a while now but have been too busy (aka busy making excuses) to get my stuff together and submit. I guess one of the upsides to these strange times we’re experiencing now is that I was able to find (make) time to put something together.
I just watched the critique arena for April’s contest and I LOVE the new format with 16 short list entries being whittled down to winners by SVS member votes! Great improvement and I hope to make the cut next month to see what kind of feedback I might receive.
I haven’t been as active in here as I would like but plan to make a push to get in here more frequently. Everyone here is doing such great work and the level of positivity amongst artists is very refreshing. Grateful to be a part of the team. Good luck to everyone entering this month!

Here's a little bird, basically the cartoon bird version of me, enjoying her alone time away from the bustling world. I've really loved seeing everyone's work so far!
-
@sarahlash Could someone let me know if this looks blurry to you? It seems blurry on my screen, but I'm not sure if it's just me.
-
@sarahlash Looks crisp to me

@KathrynAdebayo Ok, thanks!

@aprilshin I love how it turned out! Great work
