Haven't done an environment in such a long time. Been messing around with this over the last couple of days. Feedback would be greatly appreciated! Please keep in mind this isn't finished. :3

Just a quick creature concept I had.

@JajaJulie Hey Julia! I am not strong at environments myself, but I think a stronger focal point would really help your picture. The easiest way I could think of was to lighten up the sky around the waterfall. (see a thumb before/after)
Also, always, and I mean always, paint over leaves, grass and other things you did with brush. It is so obvious that you used a brush for leaves and they doesnt really fit with the style of the image. i know it is in progress, so sorry If you were planning to do that
Also, the reflections does not work this way, look some pictures up. Jake also explained how it works in perspective class I think.

Thank you for your feed back. I'm sorry, though, but what do you mean by this part? Are you just saying that they look unfinished?
-
@JajaJulie I meant that the leaves seem to me like you created one or two leaves and copy-pasted them. Thats fine, but you should always go and extra mile and paint over copied elements so it does not look that artifitial. For example, adding shadow here and there, making some imperfections here and there., change shape of few leaves, curl some, etc.. They are also much more detailed than the rest of the image, but I guess you will address this later.
-
Yup yup @JiÅ™Ã-Kůs , I will be sure to do that!

Bunny Chick. Chirp Chirp. :3

Lucky Bulbasaur.
Just a quick illustration of my favorite little grass dude, Bulbasaur. Gotta pay homage to the creature that protected me, yo.
