Is there a way to post more... it wont upload. Or some kind of limit to the images?
-
@jacksaurusrex You could link us to a portfolio, DA page or instagram account if you can't upload all the images you need, I suppose.

Its that when i upload... the percentage meter stays at zero. I can post text every 300 seconds though.

Hi Jack! I really enjoyed looking through your sketch book - especially your pencil sketches- I just love the line quality and the shapes you suggest and the characters. I'm also a big fan of the elf guy holding a light and your family portrait - I've always enjoyed that darkened eye look.
Are you looking for feedback, or just sharing with us? -
Oh lol! I just noticed that you said feedback is always welcomed. I'd be really curious to see what your work looks like if you use more light in it - I think the mood can still read as dark if you bring in lighter values.
Also what I love so much about your pencil drawings are the fine details- that would be interesting to see as well - if you were to pull those little details into your digital sketches.
Thank you for sharing your work with us! -
Thanks for your reply first of all. I can certainly try to make it lighter. its a side effect to the brush i use in mypaint... very fast way to mix... but pretty transparant. its less of an issue with lets say artrage. The detail thing is going to take some time i think.... my process in traditional is different then digital. For starters I dont use much if any linework for digital. Blobs of shape... then more shapes on top... and even more on those. It took a long time to get used to that. still only recently feel like its worth showing. Im aware they dont look as detailed... heheh work in proces. Ill try to find some sketches where i abused the zoom function... thats a very good way to get the detail... and still work lineless.
Anywho... thanks for the feedback, really do appreciate it

@kaitlinmakes
Horrible example... but this ones done in artrage...more opaque. still lacking detail though. bright as hell... which was more a side effect to the laptop i was using... non ips screen. Or perhaps you were meaning more light overall... Ive found that starting black is very bennefitial. True empty canvas. Sadly if i were to do a scene lighted by letssay fluorecent bulbs lighting up everything... it would take away from the mood the contrast creates -
Some zoom abuse
Done a few months back... should redo it -
Tried to mix line and shape... basicly scribble way of coloring. Hope it suggests some more detail...
