I'm not attempting one drawing each day, but will do one each time I draw this October. This is my first attempt. 0.1 and 0.3 pens and a Pentel Brush Marker. The brush marker drives me insane. So hard to control. Ugh!

I've done one today too (it's Sunday), still struggling with the brush pen. Thinking that perhaps it's not for me 😛

Okay, so I haven't given up on the brush pen. Tonight I made this to try and get a feel for it - much less intimidating when I new I was filling in the black 😛

@Camomilla the brush pen does take a little getting use to. It looks like you are getting the hang of it though! Filling up pages with just practice lines has really helped me learn some control when using the brush pen. Hang in there, you are already improving.

@ShereeNorthrup Thank you - yes, it did get easier towards the end there. I used a 0.1 and 0.2 pen for the finer detailes, but tried to use only the brush pen to make the sphere and rays. Getting the ends pointy and the lines accurate was hard, but not impossible (thank God!), and I didn't have quite as shaky a hand as the two previous ones. My arm needs a rest now, but I'll do another this weekend I think, hopefully I will have gained some confidence 🙂
