SVS Virtual Studio JULY 2024

I'm starting the month with more of a graphic design. I'm making a monogram design to be embroidered on a teeshirt pocket, for someone who plays irish tin whistle, I wonder if you can read the two letters? It's a personal project, no need to be too clear or too readable, just to look cool
-
@Sarah-VanDam I love use of colour in these paintings & the added touch with the bee collecting pollen is really nice!
-
Working on building my portfolio at the moment, this is a piece I've just finished. Hopefully I'll have time to make another one or two based on this theme throughout the month.
-
@Oana This is so neat! I love the colour combo and the design. I think I see an S and a V - are those the letters you were showing? I can also see a lowercase B with the dragon and tin whistle. Overall it's a really cool design!
-
Finished this piece last week, I actually did this while thinking about the last month's HTFYA prompt... It didn't do exactly what the prompt says but I did this to fit in my own preferences. Initially I had a tighter crop/longer focal length so it will better show expressions on the characters to reflect on the "customers love it" aspect which happens outside of the picture frame, however I find myself more into aircrafts so I didn't emphasize that point and drew the plane instead lol
-
@Victoria-Slight yes, an S and a V! Thank you, glad it reads well ️
-
More seagull studies -
@Kristen-Lango dont take the dip! Dont take the dip!
-
And I finished my embroidery project, thought I would share how it came out. Took several takes to get it right...
-
@Oana Design looks great the subtle shield motif behind the design is an elegant touch - great work.

@Zachary-Schrage Woah. Draw trees, you did!
-
@Sarah-VanDam I LOVE TREES!

Greetings from Corfu Island in Greece!
-
Been working on a story based on my mother and her sisters' childhood in 1950s rural Texas. They got up to plenty of shenanigans, and I always thought it would be fun to illustrate what they got up to.
Besides, who doesn't like eating dessert before dinner is even served?
-
A couple of Disney pieces that I’ve been working on with more to come. -
I just discovered zines as a nice way, to learn how to tell small stories.
My first Zine is'nt telling a story though but a small illustrated Zine about Tattoos as a giveaway for interested potential clients. And I'm curently working on my next small zine.
Its about "you and me, me and the others"
-
@Zachary-Schrage This must have cost so much time! I wonder how you do sketches for this kind of work, a lot of penciling to nail down the boundaries of everything?
-
@Oana This looks pretty cool! I wonder if this is done via computerized sewing/embroidery machine?
